About Scott Kelly, D.D.S.

Dr. Scott Kelly has been practicing in his hometown of Maumee for 40 years. He is married to his wife Melissa for 25 years and they have 2 college aged daughters. He believes his family is his greatest success and truly considers his patients a part of his extended family. His patients are the heart of his practice and he has built strong relationships with them based on their health and well-being. Dr Scott will always strive to create a welcoming atmosphere for his patients along with determination to give the best dental outcome for everyone he treats.

He earned his undergraduate eduction from Brown University and his dental degree from The Ohio State University School of Dentistry.

Emergency Services

Dental emergencies are a top priority! We never want anyone to be in pain so please call our office if you have incurred trauma or have a toothache or any damage to your mouth.

Cleanings and Consultations

Preventative Care is the foundation to a healthy and beautiful smile. We, along with the ADA recommend visiting us 2x a year. Cleanings will remove build-up plaque and will also allow us to screen for oral cancers and gum disease. Sealants may also be applied to children to prevent decay. Fluoride treatments are available and recommended.

Mouth Guards and Bite Guards

A custom fit sports mouth guard will effectively prevent injury. This is also true for bite guards that treat grinding and clenching that can lead to TMJ.

Dentures

Dentures are an affordable way to replace missing teeth. Full and partial dentures can be fabricated to look and feel like natural teeth. They will be custom fit and allow you to eat and speak with confidence.

Extractions and Restorations and Implants

Tooth extractions are routine and will only done to remove decayed and damaged teeth. We will always try to preserve natural teeth and will only do an extraction after consulting with the patient.

Crowns

Crowns are highly aesthetic restorations made of ceramic or metal. They imitate natural characteristics of teeth and give strength and support to the damaged tooth.

Teeth Whitening

Our office utilizes the Zoom Whitening program. This requires about 45 minutes to an hour to perform for an immediate bright smile. We also offer teeth whitening gel kits that you may purchase to use at home.

Fillings

We use composite filling to restore cavities. Composite is inconspicuous and natural in appearance. They also bond to the tooth.

Root Canals

This is a valuable procedure used to treat and preserve teeth with badly infected roots. We use great care and gentle handling of the patient. May be referred to a specialist.

TMJ

When patients experience disorders of the tempermandibular joint they can experience pain and tenderness near the jaw, as well as, popping and clicking. We can best explore your treatment options after a consultation.

Veneers

We use veneers to cosmetically enhance the appearance of one of more teeth. They are bonded to the surface of your teeth to reshape broken or irregular or discolored teeth.
